Williston Crossings has been bustling with activity and since it "tis the season" one might think elves have been afoot!  From the 121 Entrance to the South Entrance, holiday decorations light up the night and adorn RV sites.

Our “Adopt a Tree” in the Clubhouse challenge resulted in 17 Christmas trees creatively trimmed with themes from patriotic to traditional.  Our woodcarvers, golfers and even our pickle ball players (to name a few) have trees on display.  Their imagination is extraordinary and their creations are definitely a sight to see!

Elsewhere in the resort the Wood Shop elves/volunteers have been busy.  The bookshelves have been built and installed in the Activity Center.   Every wall has beautifully built book shelves and shelves for the 600 piece DVD collection.  The library books and DVDs have been moved to the new shelves resulting in improved sound quality in the building.  The Activity Center is now the location of all information on activities, calendars and ticket sales. library.jpg

With the completion of the library shelves, the Wood Shop volunteers have begun the addition of new offices in the Office Building.  Construction is concentrated in the back of the building, but in the front office, a wall mural featuring the Grist Mill is being painted by Betty Bahlin. You might enjoy seeing Betty’s other wall paintings in Bow Wow Boutique.  She does beautiful work!

In December, a new activity calendar format debuted.  Residents now have two tools to plan their activities:  1) a chart of recurring activities and 2) a calendar with only “special events.”  Residents can personalize the special events calendar by writing in recurring activities in which they participate.  Channel 10 format has also changed to show only the week’s special events and any cancellations or changes.

Time does not stand still in Williston Crossings!  Soon we will welcome new guests and returning snow birds and in just the blink of an eye it will be 2016!  We wish everyone good health and happiness for this holiday season and the coming year and hope your travels bring you to Williston Crossings RV Resort…a Destination to Remember!
