In June, I unexpectedly lost my best friend and husband.  In the days since I have often reflected on everything that happened and have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of well wishes, thoughts and prayers from so many.  It has been amazing as Ed really thought he flew under the radar.  Perhaps my thoughts are best expressed in this poem shared by a dear friend.

Perhaps you sent a lovely card, Or sat quietly in a chair.
Perhaps you sent a floral piece, If so I saw it there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, As any friend could say.
Perhaps you were not there at all, Just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console my heart, I thank you so much, whatever the part.

For those who made a donation to the Williston Crossings Wood Shop in Ed’s memory, our family extends a special thank you as your donations continue the woodturning project Ed was so passionate about.
