Our little town is located in the heartland of Levy county, North Central Florida. Williston is a little taste of country. Upland forests, pastures, ponds, springs and lakes, all found over miles of scenic back roads. The gateway to “The Nature Coast”.

This small town counts with a little less than 3000 people. Our ancestries are Italian, American, German, Greek, Irish and English.
We is located in Levy County, North Central Florida. Small towns surrounded by farms and forests. Quiet residential areas sprinkled by large oak trees that are indigenous to the area.
Temperatures that vary throughout the year between 57 and 82 degrees. The average rainfall is 45.3 inches. Away enough from the coast Williston is naturally protected away from the dangers of tropical storms.
We have a lot of outdoors activities to offer, even though unknown to most of the world, we have a pretty country town right here. Recreation is centered around the outdoors with excellent opportunities for golf, hunting, fishing, camping, boating, cave diving and horseback riding.
Great fellowship opportunities through various church denominations.
The local library is situated in the middle of town and is worth the visit as a historical building with its own small museum in there!
Our RV resort also offers a big collection of books in our entertainment center.
The elevations around Williston vary from 75 – 100 feet above mean sea level. Our town is surrounded by rolling green hills, although the diameter of town and industrial community is completely flat.
Highways – The City is located on U.S. 41 and U.S. 27. Interstate 75 is minutes away to the East and North.
There is a Railroad – CSX Transportation tracks run through the city. Freight Service is available.
Williston Municipal Airport is located adjacent to the industrial Community. It features 2 runways. Facilities include a fixed base operator, aircraft maintenance and charter service available.
18 man police force and 22 fire fighters volunteer for our community. 10 pilots and 9 other airmen also for our town.
Gainesville regional airport 22 minutes away offers services with daily schedule to mayor city airports in the United States.
Health facilities
Our local hospital offers 40 beds and a small intensive care center with a helicopter airport.
Williston also offers two walk in clinics.
There are 10 physicians, 4 dentists and two chiropractors with private offices.
The university of florida hospital, Shands, is 25 minutes away and is nationally acclaimed for its services and excellent staff.

Travel to nearby places:
Rainbow run is a beautiful lazy water’s spring worth the visit. Be prepared to sit and float down the river or canoe or kayak. Ask about paddle boarding instructions. There is an emergent interest in this new way to see the water. It’s stayed is like snorkeling without getting in the water.
We’re surrounded with fresh water springs in the area, each with its own enchanting beauty.
Orlando is one hour and a half away with tons of attraction packs and entertainment.
The Gulf of Mexico less than an hour away and east coat beaches less than two hours away.
Cedar key with its historic feeling provides seafood locally, quaint shops and a variety of seafood restaurants. 45 minutes away.
Ocala well know as horse country and the university town of Gainesville where you can enjoy professional sports events and all that a city can offer.
